Warehouse Specialist
To assist in coordination of daily purchasing activities in the Warehouse under the supervision of the purchasing director consistent with the state and federal regulations. Assists in ordering and stocking supplies for facilities serviced.
Responsibilities

Assist in the company’s performance improvement activities and warehouse operations.

Checks all incoming orders for accuracy and responsible for timely delivery to appropriate departments.

Compiles records of unfilled orders.

Completes purchase requisitions according to company protocol.
-
Issues equipment and supplies as necessary.
-
Maintain department records and provide follow up to expedite orders (this includes price histories to provide information on price variances).

Maintains adequate inventory labels by communicating with other departments.
-
Maintains par levels of all equipment and supplies.
-
Maintains product freshness through stock rotation and dating procedures.
-
Responsible for outgoing shipping; monthly supplies, return on UPS.
-
Responsible for inventory spot checks and product evaluation as well as scheduled full warehouse inventory count and variance reports.

Responsible for receiving, stocking, dispensing and data entry of warehouse inventory.
-
Responsible for returns, for processing for proper credit.
-
Responsible for routine and ongoing communication with other team members to ensure customer services and proper payment of invoices.

Reviews records for accuracy of information and compliance with established procedures and determine adequacy of stock levels.

Studies shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders and other records to determine shipping priorities, work assignments and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receiving schedules.

Traces history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records.

As needed completes projects relating to purchasing.

Performs other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
-
Two years of post-high school graduate or equivalent.

One or two years of business, purchasing or materials management experience.

Proficiency in computer applications with emphasis on Access and Excel programs.

Possess the ability to work accurately with standard purchasing procedures and filing systems.

Possess excellent written and verbal communications skills.
-
Displays organizational skills.
-
Ability to perform multiple tasks at one time.
