Utility Operator
The Utility Operator is responsible for maintaining cleanliness across the plant, operating various equipment, assisting with plant maintenance, and ensuring safety. The role involves physical labor, working with hazardous materials, and adherence to safety protocols.
Responsibilities

Maintain plant cleanliness, including ash silo and designated areas.

Assist with plant system maintenance through housekeeping and monitoring.

Demonstrate and enforce safety practices, identifying and mitigating hazards.

Conduct inspections, troubleshooting, and report findings to supervisors.

Safely operate equipment such as mowers, street sweepers, and water trucks.

Provide support to the Assistant Plant Operator as needed.

Perform additional duties as assigned.

Work with hazardous materials may be required.

Extensive smoking restrictions on-site.
Qualifications and Skills

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

2+ years of experience with power plant equipment operation or similar.

Strong knowledge of mechanical equipment, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and schematics.
-
Skilled in safe operation of hand and power tools.

Familiarity with occupational hazards and safety standards.
-
Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license.
