Processing Technician
The Process Technician is responsible for safe and effective plastic part production.
Responsibilities

Must perform all tasks in accordance with employee handbook.

Must perform all tasks in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 quality system procedures.

Must communicate with all other personnel on related issues during the course of your shift.

Must fill in all required paperwork appropriately.

Must perform mold setups and startups.

Must be able to correct process problems through troubleshooting and process knowledge.

Must perform all processor tasks associated with color, mold, and liner changes.

Must walk the floor, to assist with issues and machine alarms as they arise.

Must attend daily hand off meeting, and ensure all upcoming changes are known, so that the processor can be prepared for upcoming changes.

Perform line clears and ensure all required parties have cleared the line before starting a new/different product.

Must be able to print out work order and labels, as well as how to scan a label and print skid labels.

Must report mold damage to the shift supervisor and fill out a repair sheet.

Must report all issues to the shift manager.

Must assist material handlers with color changes.

Must check the schedule throughout the shift and be aware of upcoming changes.

May have to assist with operator breaks.

Must set up correct part containment and part conveyance for all jobs ensuring no parts are failing to be contained. Work on improving containment when there are issues.

Must be able to perform liner plate and vent changes, along with minor troubleshooting when issues arise with the lining machine.

All other duties as assigned by the Shift Supervisor.
Qualifications and Skills

Must be able to read English at a 12th grade level.

Must be able to understand, speak, and write English.
-
Must be able to perform basic math calculations.
-
Injection molding experience is preferred.
-
Processing experience or equivalent education is preferred.

Must be certified to drive a forklift, training is available.

Basic computer skills a plus.

Knowledge of decoupled molding principles preferred.

Dexterity and accuracy as needed to operate testing equipment or gauges.

Must be able to work rotating sifts on a continuous seven-day work cycle.

Able to lift 40 lbs and walk from press to press throughout an 8 hour shift.
