Lumber Yard Stick Layer
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual. This role is crucial in maintaining the quality and integrity of our lumber products.
Responsibilities

Stack lumber in layers, placing stickers (small wooden sticks) between each layer to promote even air flow and drying.

Inspect lumber for defects and ensure it is properly aligned and supported during stacking.

Follow safety guidelines and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.

Collaborate with other team members to maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Operate and maintain equipment used in the stacking and drying process.

Monitor the condition of stacked lumber and report any issues to supervisors.

Assist with other tasks in the lumber yard as needed, including loading and unloading trucks and organizing inventory.
Qualifications and Skills

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Previous experience in a lumber yard or sawmill is a plus but not required.

Physical strength and stamina to lift and stack heavy lumber.

Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.

Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.

Basic understanding of safety practices and procedures in a lumber yard.

Must be able to weather the outdoor work environment with exposure to varying weather conditions.
