Forklift Driver

A forklift driver is responsible for operating a forklift to move, stack, load or unload materials within a warehouse, manufacturing facility or construction site.  Forklift drivers play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of goods and materials.

Responsibilities
  • Safe Operation: Operate a forklift in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all safety guidelines, regulations, and company policies.  Conduct pre-shift inspections of the forklift to ensure it is in proper working condition.

  • Material Handling: Load, unload stack, and arrange materials or products using a forklift.  Move materials between storage areas, production lines, trucks or other designated locations.  Ensure accurate and timely delivery of materials to the required destinations. 

  • Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records by properly documenting materials received, moved, or shipped.  Conduct periodic inventory counts and report any discrepancies to the appropriate personnel.

  • Warehouse Organization: Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized work environment.  Arrange materials or products in a logical and efficient manner to facilitate easy access retrieval.

  • Safety Awareness: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents or injuries.  Report any potential hazards or safety concerns to supervisors immediately.

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of daily activities, including materials handled, equipment inspections, and any incidents or accidents that occur during operations.

Qualifications and Skills
  • Proven experience as a forklift driver or operator.

  • Strong knowledge of forklift operations, safety procedures, and maintenance.

  • Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects.

  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.

  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.

  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

Benefits/Compensation
  • Full Time

  • Pay rate is $15 per hour with a $2 pay raise immediately upon hire

  • 8 hour 1st shift 6am-2:30pm M-F

  • Weekly pay while employed through Career Concepts

  • Benefits available while employed through Career Concepts

  • Temp-To-Hire

  • Benefits after probation
